The in-built accessibility checker can be found in the lower right area of the RCE. This will help you to identify any accessibility issues with any particular page in Canvas.

The Canvas accessibility checker runs automatically in the background
If it detects issues, a circle with the number of issues is displayed on the icon
This is extremely useful, as Canvas is automatically suggesting ways for you to improve the accessibility of your content
If you click on the icon, it will take you through each issue in turn, and a pop up window on the left will allow you to fix issues quickly (e.g. adding ALT text for images, correcting header styles which are not done properly, improving the contrast of text)

Note: please don't think of the accessibility checker as a 'silver bullet' that would detect every issue. For example if poor ALT text is included (i.e. an inadequate description of an image), it will not be able to detect this. Therefore, please use it as a helpful tool for improving accessibility rather than a complete solution).
