For any module to which you have editing rights, you should see a grey Edit button near the top of any page/content. Clicking this will bring up the Rich Content Editor (RCE). This is your primary tool for building and editing the individual pieces of your module's content.

You will see that you can add and format text, and various other types of content in the box, before scrolling down to click the blue Save button.

This is shown in the image below, along with the following clusters of tools:

Text formatting
Inserting comment
Options for alignment, lists etc. (visible after clicking the 3 dots)*
Further functions such as inserting tables (covered on a subsequent page)

Note: some options will be visible either on the top ribbon, or within the three dots menu, depending on the size of your screen

To use the rich content, select the page you want to edit, select, edit and then you can type within the window just exactly what you would do in word. Adding a header, select what you want it to be a header and select the heading hierarchy. To add a list click the list button here we're using bullet points. And once you're happy with your page, select save.

Optional task

Try editing a page in Canvas by adding text and applying:

Heading 2 (note the chevron next to Paragraph)
A numbered list (note the chevron next to the bulleted list option)
Further formatting of your choice
