Html code is used for some types of formatting and embedding content (we will see examples on later pages)

To find the html editor

click edit
scroll to the bottom of the RCE
click the html editor button (</>)

This will bring up what is known as the 'pretty html editor'.

You can also choose to see the 'raw html editor' by selecting this at the bottom.

You can apply edits in either html editor and either save directly, or switch back to the RCE before saving.

Optional task

Try finding the html editor for a Canvas page. If you're new to using html code, take an initial look at how text from the rich content view appears in this editor (the same text will be present, but the formatting applied to it will be expressed as units of code).
